You might have seen my previous blog post detailing why the iPhone calendar is useless, and my boycotting iPhone until they improve it.
Well, I just learned that the upcoming Palm Pre, in addition to looking generally awesome, meets all my requirements for a useful phone. So Palm wins, Apple loses, and I'm still the only person who cares.
See 8 minutes into this video to see why the Palm Pre wins the calendar war. They call it the "pen and paper" approach. Entering an appointment takes about 10% of the time it would take on an iPhone:
